About the role
Odyssey House Trust Christchurch is seeking a dedicated Peer Support Worker to join our community services team. This part‑time, on‑site position offers the chance to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals navigating their health journeys.
Key responsibilities
- Provide empathetic, lived‑experience based support to clients.
- Facilitate one‑to‑one and group peer support sessions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to develop and monitor recovery plans.
- Maintain accurate client notes and documentation in line with organisational policies.
- Promote a safe, inclusive environment that encourages client empowerment.
Required profile
- Demonstrated compassion and commitment to community wellbeing.
- Personal experience with recovery or health challenges (lived experience preferred).
- Strong communication and active‑listening skills.
- Ability to work part‑time on‑site in Christchurch Central.
