Part‑time Lecturer – ICT Certificate (Level 4)

About the role

UCOL’s Faculty of Information and Communication Technology is seeking a motivated, innovative part‑time Lecturer to deliver the NZ Certificate in IT Essentials (Level 4) and related programmes on the Manawatu Campus.

Key responsibilities

• Teach core ICT subjects including database and information management, multimedia web development, software development, operating systems and networking.
• Develop and deliver blended learning resources for both face‑to‑face and online delivery.
• Mentor and inspire students, fostering a stimulating learning environment.
• Collaborate with industry partners to enhance curriculum relevance.

Required profile

• Graduate qualification in a relevant ICT field.
• Relevant industry experience (advantageous).
• Adult teaching qualification (e.g., NZCATT) or willingness to obtain it.
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
• Ability to complete New Zealand Police vetting under the Vulnerable Children Amendment Act 2017.
