Parcel Sorter – Full-time in Hastings

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Parcel Sorter to join our Hastings team at Global Express NZ. You will play a key part in safely handling freight, meeting delivery targets and ensuring an on‑time, damage‑free service for our customers across New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely and securely.
• Scan freight efficiently to meet on‑time operational objectives.
• Verify that all accompanying documentation is complete.
• Operate equipment, including forklifts, in a safe and proficient manner.
• Label action bays, re‑stack damaged freight and protect leaking products.
• Maintain good working relationships and communicate effectively within the team.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.
• Strong team coordination and communication skills.
• Prior experience working in the freight or logistics industry.

Required skills

• OSH‑approved forklift certification.
• F‑endorsed licence (preferred).
• Experience with long‑fork equipment (preferred).
• Understanding of dangerous goods regulations (preferred).
