Operations Manager – Venue

About the role

Encore is seeking an Operations Manager – Venue to drive profitability and efficiency across its global venue portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Event Technology, you will establish performance benchmarks, optimise labour planning and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor reporting systems for labour efficiency metrics for each venue business unit.
• Analyse trends and recommend operational changes to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement opportunities in operational procedures.
• Oversee billing code allocation and ensure systems compliance across all venues.
• Partner with Learning & Development to design and deliver consistent training programs.
• Support tendering processes by compiling sales, billing and labour resource data.
• Coordinate semi‑annual operational inspections of contracted venues.
• Provide data for annual budgeting and recommend capital expenditures.
• Collaborate with the Technology team on installation projects and venue upgrades.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar operations management role.
• Background in production is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and time‑management abilities.
• Effective decision‑making skills.
