Operations Manager – Multi‑Site Retail Dealership

About the role

Honda New Zealand is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to support its Auckland retail dealership network. Reporting to the Retail General Manager, you will work across multiple sites, influencing sales, service, parts and administration to drive operational excellence and consistent performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day operations of several Auckland dealership locations.
• Drive consistency and efficiency across sales, service, parts and administration functions.
• Monitor and report on key operational and financial performance indicators.
• Provide insights and recommendations for business decision‑making.
• Identify operational gaps and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Assist with budgeting, cost control and performance reviews.
• Support health and safety compliance, building maintenance and site administration.
• Conduct operational reviews and ensure audit readiness.
• Lead or contribute to projects that improve systems, processes and customer experience.
• Build strong relationships with dealership teams and internal Honda stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous experience in retail, automotive, dealership or multi‑site operations.
• Solid understanding of sales, service and parts environments.
• Strong analytical ability with experience interpreting data and KPI reporting.
• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset and ability to drive change.
• Financial awareness and experience monitoring operational performance.
• Proven ability to influence and build relationships across multiple teams and locations.
