Operations Manager – Defence Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead multiple service teams at RNZF Woodbourne. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service outcomes, driving commercial performance and strengthening client partnerships within our defence support portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational performance across multiple service teams at RNZF Woodbourne, ensuring service excellence and contract compliance.
• Manage budgets, forecasting and cost control to drive profitability.
• Develop and maintain strong client partnerships, identifying opportunities to enhance services and grow revenue.
• Coach, mentor and develop managers and their teams to achieve high engagement and performance.
• Champion health, safety, food safety, environmental and quality compliance standards.

Required profile

• Proven multi‑site operational leadership experience in hospitality, facilities or support services.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of managing budgets and delivering financial results.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships and influence diverse stakeholders.
• Experience leading large teams, driving change and developing future leaders.
• Good knowledge of health, safety, compliance and employment practices in operational environments.
