Operations Assistant

About the role

The Operations Assistant will provide essential operational and administrative support to the Operations Manager and the wider team in Masterton. The role also includes on‑road driving duties when required, ensuring smooth delivery of transport and tourism services across the Wairarapa.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational and administrative assistance to the Operations Manager and team.
• Process weekly banking, driver timesheets and back‑costing data.
• Support rostering for urban services, tours and charters.
• Order and process uniforms, stationery and depot supplies.
• Deliver excellent customer service, handling bookings and inquiries.
• Participate in a rotating on‑call roster for after‑hours support.
• Perform driving duties such as daily school runs and other transport tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Excellent communicator who enjoys interacting with people.
• Strong multitasking, administrative and organisational abilities.
• Computer‑savvy and comfortable learning new systems and software.
• Problem‑solver with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Class 2 driver’s licence and P endorsement, or ability to obtain them with company support.
