On Air Controller – Fixed Term (9‑month contract)

About the role

We are looking for an On Air Controller to manage the delivery of live and pre‑recorded content across all Sky products and platforms. Working at the heart of live broadcasting, you will ensure programmes, commercials and promotional material air on time and reach our streaming partners seamlessly.

Key responsibilities

• Control and deliver live and non‑live events, handling any issues that arise.
• Maintain high accuracy in content distribution, following schedules, guidelines and priorities.
• Follow Standard Operating Processes and apply strong editorial judgement when adjusting the schedule.
• Operate On Air tools to meet delivery standards.
• Monitor for potential issues, take corrective action and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Alter schedules as needed for missing or amended events, including live programmes.

Required profile

• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Solutions‑oriented mindset with the ability to think quickly under pressure.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 roster, including evenings, weekends and overnight shifts.
• Eagerness to learn and absorb new broadcast and streaming technologies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with On Air tools.
• Familiarity with broadcast and streaming technology.
