Occupational Health Technician – Hamilton

About the role

Join LifeCare as an Occupational Health Technician and deliver first‑aid training and health‑screening services across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions. Based in Hamilton, you will work primarily on client sites, with a guaranteed minimum of 64 hours per fortnight and the opportunity for additional hours.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑aid training courses to groups.
• Provide occupational health screening services, including pre‑employment checks, annual health checks, and drug/alcohol testing.
• Maintain compliance with internal and external processes.
• Perform data entry and use technology tools for reporting.
• Travel to worksites across the region, including occasional overnight stays and night‑away assignments.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in New Zealand (no visa sponsorship).
• Current New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Tertiary qualification in health, sport, or exercise science (e.g., Health Science, Paramedicine, Sports Science).
• Passion for preventative health care and engaging health education.
• Ability to work fast‑paced schedules, early starts, late finishes, and occasional Saturdays.
• Strong comfort with technology and data entry.
