Nurse Educator – Teaching International Nurses

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Nurse Educator to join our team in Christchurch. You will teach and mentor internationally qualified nurses, helping them transition into the New Zealand healthcare system.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver orientation on the New Zealand healthcare system.
• Provide OSCE exam preparation and simulation training.
• Bridge cultural and language gaps for diverse learners.
• Identify individual skill gaps and tailor teaching approaches.
• Combine face‑to‑face and online teaching methods.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of NZ clinical experience.
• Previous classroom or clinical teaching experience.
• Strong passion for education and mentoring.
• Culturally inclusive and comfortable working with nurses from varied backgrounds.
• Adaptable teaching style that meets learners where they are.
• Based in Christchurch or willing to relocate.
