Night CCTV Operator (Overnight Shift)

About the role

Join Red Badge Group as an Overnight CCTV Operator at LynnMall, one of Auckland’s busiest retail centres. You will work the fixed night roster (20:00‑06:00, Sunday‑Thursday) monitoring CCTV, detecting incidents, and supporting both control‑room and frontline security duties.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV systems throughout the night to identify suspicious behaviour, safety concerns and security risks.
• Respond to incidents, escalate issues and coordinate with security teams, contractors and emergency services.
• Complete accurate CCTV logs, incident reports and shift handovers.
• Support access‑control, alarm systems, welfare checks and overall site security activities.
• Perform guarding duties across day, evening and overnight shifts as required.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling CCTV footage and sensitive information.

Required profile

• Previous security, control‑room or retail security experience is desirable but not essential.
• Current Certificate of Approval (COA) or ability to obtain one.
• Strong observation, communication and reporting abilities.
• Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• High integrity, discretion and professional customer‑service attitude.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand and aged 18 or over.
