Night Auditor / Guest Services Agent

About the role

The Night Auditor/Guest Services Agent role combines front‑office reception duties with night‑audit responsibilities in a hospitality setting. You will welcome guests, manage check‑ins and check‑outs, handle queries and complaints, and ensure accurate accounting while working independently during overnight hours.

Key responsibilities

• Check guests in and out of the hotel, handling cash and key control.
• Respond to guest inquiries, resolve complaints, and communicate relevant information to the front‑office team and other departments.
• Prepare and file audit reports, ensuring compliance with security and privacy procedures.
• Maintain accurate financial records and perform night‑audit accounting tasks.

Required profile

• Available to work the graveyard shift (22:30‑07:00), including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong decision‑making skills.
• Full NZ driver’s licence and legal right to work in New Zealand.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer systems for reporting and data entry.
• Experience with spreadsheet applications.
• Basic knowledge of reservation systems (preferred).
