Network Support Specialist

About the role

The Network Support Specialist provides hands‑on installation, maintenance and troubleshooting for data‑center and network infrastructure. You will work directly with L3 teams and key stakeholders to ensure high availability of servers, storage, and networking equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, rack, stack and label servers, switches, firewalls, routers, and related cabling.
• Perform IMAC and break‑fix activities, including power cycling, diagnostics, and component replacement.
• Coordinate on‑site visits, manage ticket updates and communicate schedules with stakeholders.
• Execute tape management, backup, and recovery procedures.
• Conduct fiber testing using OTDR/LSPM/VFL and install loop‑back cables for remote testing.
• Maintain accurate asset tagging and documentation in the IT ticketing system.

Required profile

• Good understanding of IT fundamentals, networking standards and domain environments.
• Experience with data‑center hardware architecture and server/client operations.
• Ability to identify defective parts, replace spares and follow L3 troubleshooting procedures.
• Strong organizational skills to plan and record activities on site.
