About the role

The National Field Manager leads the field execution for the New Zealand Ice Cream business, overseeing a national team of Area Managers and driving growth across both In‑Home and Out‑of‑Home channels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and manage a national team of nine Area Managers to achieve sales, execution and customer growth targets.
• Develop and implement territory business plans, customer call cycles and ways of working to ensure consistent channel execution.
• Drive new customer acquisition and business development opportunities, fostering a growth‑focused culture.
• Monitor field performance through KPIs and dashboards, ensuring delivery against weekly, monthly and annual targets.
• Collaborate with Customer Strategy and Planning managers to align field activities with customer strategies, shopper activations and channel P&L objectives.
• Support Area Managers in managing multi‑site customer relationships and maintaining high‑standard customer service.
• Ensure activation of point‑of‑sale materials, product range expansion and Perfect Store standards.
• Oversee store/branch reviews, joint business plan development and ROI measurement for trade investments.
• Lead integration of the field team into a unified Ice Cream field force.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing a national sales team.
• Strong commercial expertise with a track record of delivering growth targets.
• Ability to develop and execute territory business plans and customer strategies.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams such as Customer Strategy, Planning and finance.
• Excellent coaching and people‑development skills.
• Data‑driven mindset, comfortable using KPIs and dashboards to measure performance.
