About the role
The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluating, Reporting & Learning (MERL) Lead to strengthen the impact of its eye‑health programmes across the Pacific. In this role you will shape the MERL strategy, ensure high‑quality data collection and translate findings into actionable learning for the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and continuously improve MERL frameworks for all programmes.
- Lead data collection, analysis and reporting to demonstrate programme outcomes and impact.
- Facilitate learning workshops and disseminate evidence‑based recommendations to staff and partners.
- Collaborate with programme teams to integrate monitoring and evaluation into project planning and delivery.
- Maintain robust data management systems and ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements.
Required profile
- Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning within the health or development sector.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into clear insights.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross‑functional teams.
- Commitment to improving eye health and serving communities in the Pacific.
Required skills
- Experience with MERL frameworks and methodologies.
- Data analysis and reporting proficiency.
- Knowledge of donor reporting standards.
