Milford Sound Day/Overnight Nature Guide

About the role

Join our close‑knit team aboard the Mariner and share the magic of Milford Sound with guests. As a Nature Guide you will lead water activities, deliver engaging commentary on the region’s flora, fauna and history, and help create unforgettable evenings on the water.

Key responsibilities

• Provide informative and entertaining commentary throughout the journey.
• Host and guide guests through the wonders of Fiordland, including kayaking and other onboard activities.
• Support daily onboard operations and assist with equipment handling.
• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in guiding, hosting or hospitality.
• Maritime knowledge; experience operating a small tender craft is preferred.
• Familiarity with Fiordland flora and fauna.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high‑energy, remote environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team attitude.
• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting.
• Enthusiasm for the outdoors and tolerance for rain.
