Mid-level Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Xe is rebuilding the platform that powers cross‑border payments for corporate and consumer clients. As a mid‑level full‑stack engineer you will own end‑to‑end features that move money, from API design and front‑end experience to backend services and production reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship full‑stack features that handle onboarding, KYC/KYB, payment initiation, FX, settlement and related services.
• Build and maintain customer‑facing interfaces and the services that power them.
• Own production services, ensuring reliability, observability, on‑call coverage and incident response.
• Collaborate with product, design and compliance teams from problem framing through launch.
• Use AI‑assisted coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) daily for prototyping, refactoring, testing and documentation.
• Help modernise legacy components by migrating them to the new stack alongside architects and team leads.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience building production web applications end‑to‑end.
• Strong front‑end skills with Vue.js, React or equivalent frameworks.
• Solid back‑end experience, preferably with C#/.NET; other OOP languages (Java, Kotlin, Go) are also acceptable.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
• Hands‑on experience deploying on AWS using services such as SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS and Lambda.
• Daily use of AI‑assisted coding tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
