Meetings & Events Sales Coordinator

About the role
We are seeking a proactive Meetings & Events Sales Coordinator to join our team at Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour. In this full‑time position you will be the primary point of contact for confirmed events, guiding them from proposal through delivery and billing while ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end coordination of small to medium events, from proposals to execution and invoicing.
- Prepare accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and communicate details to operational teams.
- Act as the main liaison for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Food & Beverage, operations, and external suppliers to deliver high‑quality events.
- Support the sales team with enquiries, site inspections, and showcasing event spaces.
- Identify upselling opportunities to maximise revenue.
- Maintain accurate records and pipelines using CRM and sales systems.
Required profile
- 1–2 years of experience in events, hospitality or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills with a client‑first mindset.
- Proactive, independent work style and a positive, energetic attitude.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
