Medical Receptionist (Casual)

About the role

We are seeking a casual Medical Receptionist to join the front‑of‑house team at Braemar Hospital. Working in the main reception area, you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors and staff, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth navigation throughout the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients, visitors and staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Answer, triage and route incoming phone calls with a professional phone manner.
• Perform administrative duties related to patient appointments, records and referrals.
• Maintain an organized and tidy reception area, including handling mail and deliveries.
• Collaborate with the Medical Reception Manager and clinical teams to support daily operations.

Required profile

• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, busy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Proactive, initiative‑driven and able to think creatively to solve problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Friendly phone manner and strong interpersonal abilities.
