About the role

We are seeking a Media Account Director to own the client relationship across media, blending strategy, creativity, digital capability and commercial insight to drive real business impact. You will act as a trusted senior partner, ensuring our work is smart, progressive and that the partnership continually strengthens.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the integrated media relationship for the client, aligning strategy, creative and digital execution.
• Develop and present media plans that translate investment into measurable business outcomes.
• Influence senior stakeholders and act as the primary point of contact for media‑related discussions.
• Collaborate closely with creative and strategy teams to ensure cohesive delivery.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a low‑ego, collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading media relationships within an agency or consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of the New Zealand media landscape across traditional and digital channels.
• Strategic thinker who stays close to delivery and performance metrics.
• Confident presenter and influencer at senior level.
• Strong commercial instincts linking media spend to business results.
• Proven leadership capability with a genuine interest in developing others.
