Mechanical Engineer – HVAC Design

About the role

You will join a tight‑knit mechanical team delivering HVAC and building services design for a variety of building projects across Auckland. The position involves design, 3D modelling and coordination with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to produce fully integrated outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop HVAC and building services designs for commercial, healthcare, education, residential, industrial and retail projects.
• Create and manage Revit/BIM models and other building services modelling tools.
• Coordinate design work with internal engineers and external consultants.
• Ensure designs comply with New Zealand codes and standards.
• Support project teams throughout the design and documentation phases.

Required profile

• 3–6+ years of experience in building services or mechanical engineering.
• Proven HVAC design experience on commercial or similar projects.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand building codes and standards.
• Effective communicator able to work with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
