About the role
Our client in New Zealand is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Auckland team. The role focuses on machine and product design, finite‑element analysis and project engineering within a commercial environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop detailed mechanical designs for machines and products.
- Perform finite‑element (FE) analysis to validate concepts.
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver engineering solutions on schedule.
- Prepare engineering documentation and drawings.
- Support project management activities as required.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a commercial design engineering role.
- Only South African citizens may apply.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CAD software – preferably SolidWorks and/or Inventor.
- Basic understanding of project management principles or qualifications.
