About the role
The Marketing Communications Lead will shape how NZ Post connects its brand, marketing strategy and digital execution. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications, you will act as a trusted second‑in‑command, guiding the delivery of end‑to‑end marketing plans that drive commercial results.
Key responsibilities
- Lead enterprise‑wide marketing planning and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Coach and guide high‑performing teams across Brand, Digital Communications and Design Centres of Excellence.
- Embed best‑practice frameworks for planning, performance measurement and continuous improvement.
- Manage agency relationships and elevate partnership effectiveness.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment across matrixed teams.
- Use data and insights to optimise performance and deliver commercial return.
Required profile
- Extensive senior‑level experience in marketing or communications.
- Proven ability to lead high‑performing teams in complex, fast‑moving organisations.
- Strong commercial mindset with data‑driven decision making.
- Excellent stakeholder influence and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Comfort with shaping direction, challenging thinking and hands‑on execution.
