Manufacturing Engineer 2

About the role

Join Lam as a Manufacturing Engineer 2 and support new product pilot production, virtual manufacturing, and high‑volume manufacturing factories. You will apply engineering principles to plan, develop, and maintain manufacturing methods, while solving technical, quality, and production challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot new or existing product issues on shift, covering design, material, or process problems.
• Conduct root‑cause investigations and recommend corrective actions for material variances, bottlenecks, fixture issues, and other operational problems.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cost, enhance product quality, and shorten cycle time.
• Provide MRB disposition for defective or failed parts.
• Design, develop, and implement safe, cost‑effective equipment and assembly methods for all manufacturing phases.
• Define high‑volume manufacturing processes, including operation method sheets, routing, and sequencing.
• Review and improve designs to increase manufacturability and assembly efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in a shift pattern and graduate‑eligible.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electro‑mechanical assemblies.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and DFMA principles.
