Maintenance Planner – Aircraft & Aviation (6‑month contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our Ardmore team on a six‑month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role supports the delivery of aircraft maintenance services, ensuring efficient workflow, accurate resource forecasting and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review work‑in‑progress data for adherence to scope, schedule and budget, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Manage the full job lifecycle – opening, WIP tracking, closing and costing – to capture accurate costs.
• Develop and maintain project plans and Gantt charts with clear milestones and critical‑path activities.
• Prepare detailed maintenance work packages, incorporating updates and known variances.
• Maintain aircraft maintenance databases, forecasting life‑limited components and regulatory compliance data.
• Record and track modifications, inspections, logbooks and technical entries to meet airworthiness requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractor services and engage service providers.
• Analyse completed jobs and trend data to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure strict compliance with Airbus, national and international regulations and promote a safety‑first culture.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in aircraft maintenance engineering or aviation technical support.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance interdependencies, airworthiness and engineering design.
• Deep understanding of aviation legislation such as DASR, CASA and EASA.
• Ability to work autonomously, meet tight deadlines and thrive in a continuous‑improvement environment.
• Excellent teamwork, relationship and communication skills.
