Maintenance Person – General Labourer

About the role

We are looking for a casual Maintenance Person to join our dedicated team at the Bream Bay retirement village in Ruakākā. You will act as a “Jack/Jill of all trades”, handling a variety of maintenance tasks to keep our facilities safe, compliant and comfortable for residents and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and reactive maintenance across the site, covering mechanical, electrical, carpentry and general repairs.
• Coordinate with external contractors, internal staff and residents to schedule and complete work.
• Ensure all work complies with the New Zealand Building Code and relevant health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues to management.

Required profile

• Previous trade experience in a maintenance or construction environment.
• Knowledge of the Building Code and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of health and safety standards.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Good physical fitness and a clean NZ driver’s licence.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
