Maintenance Lead – Expression of Interest (NZ)

About the role

Kraft Heinz is seeking experienced Maintenance Leads for its facilities in Hawkes Bay and Tomoana, Hastings, New Zealand. This expression of interest will pool talent for vacancies expected throughout 2026, offering a pathway to permanent positions within a global FMCG leader.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and drive maintenance KPIs, including reliability, breakdowns, PM completion, and work‑order execution.
• Lead deployment and continuous improvement of the KHMS Management System on the plant floor.
• Supervise shift maintenance execution to meet timing, quality, cost, and safety standards.
• Champion Kraft Heinz Golden Safety Rules and ensure compliance with site procedures.
• Coach, support and develop fitters/technicians, qualifying AM/PM capability.
• Plan and prioritize weekly maintenance activities with the Maintenance Planner.
• Own machinery reliability through troubleshooting, inspections and preventative‑maintenance improvements.
• Maintain accurate records in CMMS (e.g., SAP/Mainpac) and train users.
• Manage people administration – rostering, leave, timesheets and payroll.
• Recruit, supervise and develop maintenance/electrical technicians and contractors; support budgeting and spend control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
• Strong people‑leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven hands‑on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to motivate, coach, train and performance‑manage a diverse team.

Required skills

• SAP (or similar CMMS) proficiency.
• Experience with packaging/mechanical operations.
• Electrical maintenance expertise.
• Instrumentation and controls/electronics knowledge.
• Utility systems maintenance.
