Maintenance Electrician – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our Pact Packaging Albany site. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will ensure optimal performance, reliability and safety of all manufacturing equipment, site services and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventative and predictive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose faults, perform repairs and respond quickly to breakdowns.
• Use the CMMS (MEX) to manage schedules, work orders and spare‑parts inventory.
• Monitor critical site services and coordinate with external contractors.
• Oversee building and infrastructure electrical systems, liaising with landlords and service providers.
• Champion housekeeping, food‑safety and 6S initiatives in line with HACCP and GMP.
• Support automation upgrades and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Carry out basic mechanical maintenance such as replacing belts, bearings and components.
• Ensure compliance with WHSE, FSSC22000, ISO14001 and promote a zero‑harm culture.

Required profile

• Trade‑qualified Industrial Electrician with a current EWRB practising licence.
• Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic component replacement.
• Experience using a CMMS, preferably MEX.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable and professional attitude.
