Maintenance Coordinator (Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to join our care home team in Christchurch on a permanent part‑time basis (24 + hours per week, AM shifts). You will help create a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our residents, working closely with the Care Home Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general upkeep of the building, including preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
• Carry out painting, plumbing and minor carpentry tasks as needed.
• Maintain the exterior of the property and surrounding grounds.
• Prioritise and schedule maintenance work to minimise disruption.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards for residents and staff.

Required profile

• Experience with general maintenance tasks (painting, plumbing, carpentry) preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and time‑management skills.
• Empathetic, customer‑focused attitude and a genuine desire to help people.
• Full clean driver’s licence and legal right to work in New Zealand.
