Loss Adjuster - Southland / Central Otago

About the role

Sedgwick is looking for a Loss Adjuster to join its expanding Southland/Central Otago team, covering the area from Dunedin to Invercargill. The role suits applicants based anywhere in this region and helps people and businesses whose buildings or property, including motor vehicles, have suffered loss or damage. It involves assessing damage on-site, establishing costs, facilitating repairs and communicating closely with all parties.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, scope and cost damage to domestic and commercial property claims.
• Liaise with customers affected by a loss and support them through the claim process.
• Work with brokers and insurer partners.
• Analyse the cause of losses, report to insurers and agree repair scopes and costs.
• Deal with contractors and other suppliers and agree the quantum of claims.

Required profile

• Experience in the insurance sector.
• Trade background in motor vehicles, building, mechanical or engineering.
• Flair for customer service and enjoyment of a busy team.

• Problem-solving and flexibility to meet customers' needs.
