Log Loader & High Stacker Operator

About the role

This permanent position is based at the Pan Pac site in Napier and involves operating key log‑handling machinery on a rostered shift pattern, including both day and night shifts. The role is essential to keeping the log yard running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a log loader and wheeled high stacker to move logs around the yard.
• Arrange logs into orderly rows and load log decks for the chip mill and sawmill.
• Maintain clear communication with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in log handling and operating heavy machinery.
• Team‑player attitude with a positive, can‑do mindset.
• Current Full Class 1 NZ driver’s licence.
• Willingness to undergo random drug testing, a pre‑employment medical, ACC, and criminal history checks.
• Availability to work both day and night shifts as required.
