Line Mechanic (Earthed Lines) – Electricity Distribution

About the role

Delta Utility Services is seeking an experienced Line Mechanic specialised in earthed lines to join its electricity distribution team in the South Island. You will work on‑site in the Nelson Central area, contributing to the construction, maintenance, upgrade and repair of the regional distribution network.

Key responsibilities

• Construct new earthed distribution lines according to design specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on existing electrical networks.
• Upgrade and retrofit lines to improve reliability and capacity.
• Diagnose faults and execute repairs to restore service promptly.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical distribution line construction and maintenance.
• Ability to work safely in high‑voltage environments.
• Commitment to the company’s safety‑first culture.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in the Nelson/Tasman region.
