About the role

The Public Defence Service (PDS) is seeking an entry‑level Legal Support Assistant to join its busy Manukau team for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will work in a supportive environment, providing essential administrative assistance to legal secretaries and helping the office run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist legal secretaries and support the office with day‑to‑day tasks.
• Set up client files and collate legal documents.
• Process client disclosures and manage related paperwork.
• Cover reception duties and perform a variety of general office administration tasks.

Required profile
