Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Oral Health (Full‑time, Permanent)

About the role

Auckland University of Technology invites applications for a permanent, full‑time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Oral Health to work across its North Shore (Akoranga) and South (Manukau) campuses. The role offers the chance to lead teaching and research within a nationally recognised oral health programme.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in oral health subjects.
• Develop and continuously improve curriculum aligned with clinical practice.
• Supervise student projects, theses and clinical placements.
• Conduct and publish research in restorative, paediatric, periodontal, preventive and community oral health.
• Secure research funding and build collaborative partnerships.
• Provide mentorship to junior academic staff and contribute to departmental service.
• Engage with community and public oral health initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent qualification in oral health, dentistry or a related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at tertiary level.
• Strong research record with publications in relevant oral health areas.
• Leadership experience and willingness to take on future senior roles.
• Commitment to Māori, Pacific and diverse community engagement.
