Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Organisation Studies

About the role

The University of Auckland Business School is seeking a dynamic academic to join its Department of Management and International Business as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Organisation Studies. This role involves developing a high‑quality research programme, delivering undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and contributing to the department’s strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials across organisation studies curricula.
• Supervise undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD research projects.
• Develop and maintain an active, externally funded research agenda aligned with themes such as critical management studies, ethical business, sustainability and governance.
• Participate in departmental and faculty service, including curriculum development and academic committees.
• Mentor junior scholars and contribute to a collaborative academic community.

Required profile

• PhD in Organisation Studies, Management, Business or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated record of high‑quality research publications in reputable journals.
• Experience in teaching at the university level, with a commitment to innovative pedagogy.
• Ability to attract research funding and engage with interdisciplinary research centres.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and scholarly writing abilities.
• Proficiency in research methodologies relevant to organisational studies.
