Learn to Swim Team Member (Pool Instructor)

About the role

West Wave Pools and Leisure Centre is looking for enthusiastic Learn to Swim Team Members to deliver group swimming lessons to the local community. You will work in a safe, fun environment teaching basic water skills to children from six months up to adults.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Learn to Swim lessons to groups of varying ages and abilities.
• Maintain a caring and safe pool environment for all visitors.
• Collaborate with a supportive team to serve the local community.
• Follow rostered shift patterns, typically weekday evenings and weekend mornings.

Required profile

• Confident swimmer with a genuine love for water and working with young children.
• Excellent customer service and clear communication skills.
• At least 16 years of age.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as roster demands.

Required skills

• Current first‑aid certification.
• Recognised swim teacher qualification (or willingness to complete a two‑week training program).
