Leading Hand - Asphalt Paving Crew

About the role

Higgins, a construction and infrastructure company building and maintaining roads, bridges and civil projects across New Zealand, is looking for a Leading Hand to join its Asphalt Paving Crew in Mount Maunganui. It is a leadership role that stays hands-on, and experience in a paving environment is highly sought after.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the paving crew
• Manage your own workload using computer literacy
• Work in a physically demanding environment

Required profile

• Strong operating experience, ideally in a paving environment
• Class 2 licence with WTR endorsement (a must)
• Reasonable level of physical fitness
• Self-motivated, positive attitude, able to think for yourself
• Reliable, honest and flexible team player
