Leadership Tutor (NZ Certificate in Leadership Level 3)

About the role

We are seeking an engaging and motivating Leadership Tutor to deliver the New Zealand Certificate in Leadership (Level 3) at our Hastings campus. The role focuses on helping youth and learners develop confidence, leadership skills, and workplace behaviours for employment or further study.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the New Zealand Certificate in Leadership (Level 3) to learners at the Hastings campus.
• Create an inclusive, supportive learning environment that encourages exploration of strengths and development of communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
• Facilitate practical, interactive sessions that link leadership theory to real‑world workplace situations.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to build confidence and leadership capability.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience leading or supervising teams in a workplace setting.
• Experience working with youth or young adults.
• Strong ability to engage, motivate and build confidence in learners.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
• Understanding of leadership principles and various leadership styles.
• Relevant qualification or industry experience; willingness to obtain an adult teaching qualification if not already held.
