Lead Data Engineer

About the role

Ticketure is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines, models, and reporting assets that power internal analytics and tenant‑facing solutions. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will own complex data initiatives, ensure data quality, and drive engineering standards across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate reliable Snowflake‑based data pipelines, models, and reporting assets.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Client Success to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Champion best practices such as version control, CI/CD, automated testing, documentation, and infrastructure as code.
• Implement data quality checks, observability, and alerting to maintain pipeline reliability.
• Provide technical leadership on platform architecture, tooling, governance, and cost management, including code and design reviews.
• Lead end‑to‑end initiatives, manage priorities, communicate trade‑offs, and surface risks early.
• Use AI tools thoughtfully to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data engineering projects in a SaaS environment.
• Strong judgment and ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
