Lead Consultant – Cloud Engineering

About the role

Umbrellar Technology Group is seeking a senior, hands‑on Lead Consultant to join its Cloud Engineering team. You will act as the technical authority and primary customer‑facing lead on high‑profile cloud projects, ensuring Umbrellar is recognised as a world‑class provider of cloud professional and managed services.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship on assigned cloud projects from contract hand‑over through delivery and operational transition.
• Lead front‑line technical discussions with CIOs, senior IT leaders and engineering teams.
• Translate pre‑sales solution designs into delivery reality, making and defending architectural decisions on the ground.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Cloud Architects to ensure seamless delivery and adherence to standards.
• Act as escalation point and coach for the cloud engineering team.
• Build trusted relationships with customer technical leadership, identifying follow‑on opportunities.
• Drive technical thought leadership by monitoring industry trends and uplifting team capability.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience delivering Azure‑based cloud solutions.
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Strong track record of hands‑on delivery in public, private or hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience shaping cloud delivery standards, reference architectures and engineering patterns.
