Kitchen Attendant – Hotel Kitchen Support

About the role

As a Kitchen Attendant at Novotel & Ibis Auckland Ellerslie, you will support the kitchen team in delivering high‑quality meals for hotel guests. You will ensure the kitchen environment remains clean, organised and well‑stocked, contributing to smooth service during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, equipment and dishes, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation and support during peak service times.
• Manage waste by regularly removing rubbish and recycling, keeping disposal areas tidy.
• Receive, store and rotate food and supplies while following health, safety and food‑handling procedures.
• Help keep the kitchen well‑stocked and organised throughout each shift.

Required profile

• Friendly, professional attitude with strong communication and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a fast‑paced team.
• Flexibility to work a rotating 7‑day roster, including early mornings or late nights.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
