Key Account Manager - Custom & Glazing

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Key Account Manager to lead our custom extrusion and glazing business in New Zealand. In this newly created, high‑impact position you will own strategic customer relationships, identify growth opportunities and drive commercial success across the sector.

Key responsibilities

• Champion health and safety as the top priority.
• Build deep, trusted relationships with key accounts in the custom and glazing market.
• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities, including custom extrusion projects.
• Shape and manage a strong project and opportunity pipeline using CRM and tracking tools.
• Partner with customers to understand specifications, technical requirements and emerging trends.
• Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, supply chain and product development teams.
• Represent the business at trade shows, customer events and industry forums.
• Drive pricing, margin and commercial performance aligned to business targets.
• Maintain accurate reporting, forecasting and account plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in key account management or business development within construction, building materials, glazing or fabrication environments.
• Strong relationship‑building, negotiation and influencing capabilities.
• Commercial acumen with a strategic, growth‑focused and solutions mindset.
• Technical aptitude to understand specifications and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent organisation, planning and time‑management skills.
• Confidence working autonomously while collaborating as part of a wider team.
• Valid NZ driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
