Junior IT Engineer

About the role

As a Junior IT Engineer you will be the central point of technical support for HelloFresh and BeCool teams in Auckland. The role is hands‑on, requiring regular travel between the corporate office and the distribution centre, and involves working in chilled environments and occasional heights.

Key responsibilities

• Provide fast, effective onsite and remote IT support to minimise downtime.
• Manage the full lifecycle of IT hardware, including tracking, maintenance and capacity planning.
• Own the user lifecycle – onboarding, off‑boarding and access permission management.
• Support events with reliable IT services.
• Create and maintain clear knowledge documentation for software and processes.
• Collaborate with wider IT teams, vendors and partners to align with global standards.
• Champion IT security by enforcing endpoint protection, VPN and file‑permission policies.
• Assist the Infrastructure team with network system maintenance and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Prior experience in a professional IT support role.
• Passion for customer service and building strong relationships.
• Sharp problem‑solver with clear communication skills.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, full‑time onsite environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack and Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Atlassian tools – Jira and Confluence.
• Management of MDM solutions such as InTune, JAMF or MobiControl.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS and Android operating systems.
• Understanding of network infrastructure.
• Ability to leverage Generative AI for workflow automation and quality governance.
