About the role
We are looking for a Junior Failure Analysis Engineer to join Halter’s Failure Analysis team. You will investigate hardware failures of our smart cattle collars and tower components, both from field deployments and laboratory testing, to identify root causes and improve product reliability.
Key responsibilities
- Debug and diagnose failed hardware, including collars and tower units.
- Perform root‑cause analysis of failure modes using a methodical, data‑driven approach.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, production, supplier quality and networking teams to investigate issues.
- Develop and refine processes to increase diagnostic accuracy and reduce “no‑fault‑found” cases.
- Close the feedback loop between field performance and engineering teams to drive product improvements.
Required profile
- Electronics engineering background with hands‑on hardware debugging experience.
- Proven experience diagnosing field failures and linking in‑field events to product issues.
- Strong communication skills for reporting findings and working across multidisciplinary teams.
