IT Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Team Leader to lead the Council's Information Technology, Telecommunications, GIS, Information Management Systems, Cyber Security, and Digital Strategy. Reporting to the Group Manager Corporate Services, you will ensure secure, reliable, and innovative technology solutions for staff, elected members, and the community.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Council's IT, telecommunications and GIS functions.
• Manage network infrastructure, cyber security, telecommunications, and enterprise systems.
• Support and develop IT service delivery across the organisation.
• Oversee system upgrades, technology investments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide strategic technology leadership and develop future‑focused IT roadmaps.

Required profile

• Relevant ICT qualification and at least five years' experience in a senior IT role.
• Proven experience managing network security and cyber security.
• Experience delivering IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of database management, business systems, and information management practices.
• Experience supporting platforms such as ERP systems, websites, and document management systems.
