About the role
Eil Global is seeking an experienced IT Field Engineer/Technician to provide onsite support for its clients in New Plymouth. The role involves handling a wide range of desktop, network, and audio‑video issues on a dispatch‑on‑call basis, working as a freelance or part‑time resource.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to same‑day (SBD) and next‑business‑day (NBD) support tickets.
- Install, upgrade and patch operating systems on client machines.
- Set up and maintain audio‑video conference rooms.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems.
- Configure basic Wi‑Fi, LAN, WAN, switches and routers.
- Install and administer Microsoft Office suites.
Required profile
- Proven experience handling desktop and network issues.
- Ability to work on a dispatch, on‑call basis with flexible hours.
- Strong business English communication skills, plus local language proficiency.
Required skills
- Desktop support and hardware break‑fix.
- Network troubleshooting and configuration (LAN, WAN, switches, routers).
- Audio‑video conference room setup.
- Operating system installation, upgrade and patching.
- Wi‑Fi basics.
- Microsoft Office installation and administration.
