iOS Developer

About the role

Capgemini is looking for an experienced iOS Developer to join a high‑performing delivery team supporting a leading financial services client in Wellington. You will help design, build and maintain secure, scalable mobile applications used by thousands of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑quality iOS apps using Swift and, when needed, Objective‑C.
• Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, backend engineers and QA to deliver seamless customer experiences.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services, ensuring performance, reliability and compliance with financial regulations.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and continuous improvement of development standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve issues in production and test environments.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an iOS Developer or Mobile Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Swift; experience with Objective‑C is a plus.
• Solid understanding of iOS frameworks (UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, Combine) and architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, VIPER).
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs, handling JSON and applying secure coding practices in regulated environments.
• Familiarity with Git, Agile delivery, CI/CD tools and automated testing (XCTest, unit/UI tests).
