Integrated Operations Engineer II

About the role

Rocket Lab’s Integrated Operations team is seeking an Integrated Operations Engineer II to support the Electron launch vehicle and Photon testing and operations. The role spans stack testing, pre‑launch processing, launch, on‑orbit operations, and mission disposal, working across multiple sites including Auckland Mission Control, Mahia, and Wallops Island.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare for and conduct testing, pre‑launch and launch operations.
• Define test and operations requirements and develop execution plans.
• Execute on‑console test and operations activities while maintaining real‑time situational awareness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time, performing failure investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Perform post‑test and post‑flight data reviews and analyses.
• Continuously improve integration, testing, and operational processes.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in test or operations environments.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively during high‑tempo activities.
• Willingness to travel to test facilities and launch sites.
