About the role
The Department of Biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University seeks a permanent, 12‑month Instructor to support its education mission. This non‑tenure‑track position focuses on teaching, student advising, and laboratory course management for undergraduate and master’s programs.
Key responsibilities
- Advise undergraduate students on course selection, research opportunities, and career planning.
- Collaborate with faculty to provide teaching support, assess student performance, and maintain regular office hours.
- Teach and manage laboratory courses for undergraduate and master’s students, including summer research programs.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemistry, biology, or a related field.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
