Information Security Specialist – Cybersecurity Posture Assurance

About the role

Join ASB’s Cybersecurity Posture Assurance team in Auckland and help protect one of New Zealand’s largest banks. You will work hands‑on with security posture management tooling, assess vulnerabilities across cloud, on‑premises and SaaS environments, and collaborate with platform and engineering teams to drive remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and investigate vulnerability and security‑posture findings across cloud, on‑premises and SaaS workloads.
• Monitor drift detection and security metrics, identifying trends and explaining changes.
• Triage findings, assign ownership and coordinate with platform and engineering teams to ensure resolution.
• Maintain end‑to‑end visibility of findings until they are closed.
• Respond to business inquiries on vulnerability management, posture management and secure configuration.
• Support secure configuration hardening for Windows, Linux servers, containers and cloud resources.
• Contribute to cyber‑uplift initiatives that improve vulnerability management and configuration controls.
• Collaborate with platform engineering, security advisory and other technology teams on policy and setting changes.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with security posture management and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Ability to analyse trends, investigate findings and communicate technical details to diverse teams.
• Experience working in cloud, on‑premises and SaaS environments.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on delivering end‑to‑end remediation.
